The second Windtree Dr property in Doylestown called for a 704-square-foot outdoor platform with a warm, golden palette set against a black railing. The homeowners wanted enough room for a dining setup alongside a separate lounge zone, without the sand-and-stain cycle a wood deck of that scale would demand.
Trex Enhance was the practical answer: a composite line with a protective shell that resists fading, staining, and scratching, well-suited for large platforms exposed to direct sun.
Constructing the Layout
- Structural Foundation: Framed a 22×32 single-level platform at 704 square feet, sized to host dining alongside an open lounge zone.
- Material Selection: Trex Enhance in Honey Grove was chosen for its warm, golden tone, which balances the deck’s visual weight against the black metalwork above.
- Finishing Profile: The board layout accentuates the long rectangular footprint, with matching Honey Grove stair treads running down to the yard.
- Integrated Features: RDI Avalon Aluminum railing in black wraps the perimeter, topped with a drink rail that doubles as a flat shelf for refreshments and small plates.

At 704 square feet, the Windtree Dr project is one of the larger composite installations in the Doylestown area.
